How to Buy SME Consulting

Jim Ashraf, one of my MBA students at Cardiff has recently finished his MBA project with the Management Consultancies Association, looking at what best practice is in buying consulting services and how SME consultancies can be made better use of.

His research focuses on the role of procurement, which an increasing number of larger clients use to cut costs, and increase independence, when buying professional services.

Jim has kindly provided a summary of his project here. If this whets your appetite for the full version, or want to find out more, you can email Jim here.

The research was undertaken in conjunction with the Consultancy Buyers Forum which is run by Paul Vincent and has free membership.
